Growth course at ABT: André Franke occupies key position in distribution

Whether the new CUPRA Ateca ABT, the unique RS6-E hybrid with 1,018 HP, Formula E and DTM applications or the T6 with electric drive recently converted for VW, which was presented at the IAA Commercial Vehicles. ABT Sportsline has long been more than just a 'tuner' and is also steadily growing abroad. For this reason, the organisation of vehicle refinement was adapted on the basis of a series structure in which all specialist areas of refinement are brought together organisationally.

With Rolf Michl taking over the management function, the position of International Sales Manager was created. This position also includes the associated logistics and is now occupied by André Franke. As part of a strategic reorganisation, the family-owned company was recently divided into the largely independent areas of 'Vehicle Refinement', 'Motorsport' and 'E-Mobility', which made it necessary to create new management positions.

Before starting his career at ABT Sportsline, André Franke was branch and sales manager in the field of engineering and development services. Over a period of more than ten years, he accompanied a wide variety of projects in the exciting environment of automotive development from the start to the final testing with the respective manufacturers and suppliers. He therefore knows perfectly well that complex tasks require motivated colleagues regardless of hierarchies. "We can only achieve our goals as a strong team," explains Franke. "That's why I want to work together to develop a new sales culture that fits in perfectly with our strategic realignment.
