ABT Motorsport Centre
At the age of just 14, Johann Abt was the first motorsport driver in the Abt family back in the 1940s and thus the founder of a long tradition that eventually became part of the ABT DNA.
Since then, ABT has successfully competed in countless racing series with a steadily growing racing team and after the ABT building opened in 1991 was no longer sufficient, the employees and equipment of the racing department got their well-deserved new home in 2014 - the modern ABT Motorsport Centre.
Edged, matt black sheet steel and red, high-gloss aluminium define the exterior of the ‘hallowed halls’. Inside, the highly functional and contemporary building offers employees the perfect stage for their work:
spacious work areas, modern offices, in-house carbon and gear workshops, a wash bay, modern equipment, a spacious warehouse and an in-house gym.
The open-plan concept with glass-fronted offices that open out over the hall ensures easy communication between engineers and mechanics.
Above the entrance, the latest trophy spurs every team member on to get a little more out of themselves, because after the race is before the race.
In the spacious hall, each racing series such as the DTM, 24-hour race and Formula E has its own area. And in line with our motto ‘from the race track to the road’, our most exclusive special models such as the ABT XGT or the Signature Editions are also set up here.
The adjoining truck hall has space for five trailers, which can be loaded and unloaded regardless of weather conditions. Even the daily pit stop training can be carried out in the hall.
But it is not only the infrastructure that offers the best conditions for success - ABT Rennsport is also optimally equipped in terms of personnel. This enables ABT to handle all tasks in-house in a particularly flexible and cost-efficient manner.
