ABT provides Audi's top SUV with even more power

Even in its original specification, the Audi SQ8 is a real powerhouse. Now, ABT Sportsline makes the cool SUV even faster. 510 hp and 970 Nm are quite impressing figures. Furthermore, ABT offers interesting options to improve the looks.

This summer Audi unveiled its SQ8. This premium-class vehicle is capable of fulfilling many wishes. The SQ8 TDI has the dynamics of a luxury coupé, emotional sportiness and the roominess of a spacious SUV. And the performance specs of its extremely powerful diesel engine are remarkable: The twin-turbo V8 engine is a winner, delivering 435 HP (320 kW) and 900 Nm of torque. An electrically driven compressor prevents turbo lag and at the same time provides good start-up performance and homogeneous power delivery. From 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. ABT Sportsline now gives this already powerful model yet another upgrade in terms of performance and appearance.

Thanks to the ABT Power performance upgrade, the 4.0 TDI now delivers a hefty 510 HP (375 kW) - a massive 75 HP increase. This is made possible by the high-tech ABT Engine Control (AEC) engine control unit. The standard sprint to 100 km/h is now achieved in 4.6 seconds. The engineers from Kempten have also come up with a solution for  improved handling: And thanks to the ABT Level Control (ALC), the SUV can be lowered in three stages, thereby giving it a lower centre of gravity. ABT Comfort-Level, ABT Dynamic-Level and ABT Loading-Level (Coffee-Mode) are the adjustable modes. The first mode lowers the suspension by 25 mm, the second by 15 mm - based on the respective series setting of the corresponding suspension programme. In Coffee Mode the SQ8 is put at the lowest setting of all, thus bringing the vehicle a whole 65 mm lower to the ground than in the original Comfort mode.

But in addition to these performance upgrades, ABT also offers a wide range of options for customising the look of the SUV to your own requirements. So the ABT front skirt add-on is now available. And its counterpart, the ABT rear skirt insert with integrated(quad outlet)tailpipes, will be available from January 2020. The ABT rear spoiler is already available for order. ABT Sports rims are available in three different versions. There is the GR model, in gloss black or matt black, the HR Aero rim indark smoke and the HR-F rim in shadow silver. All of the above are available in 22 inch. And for those who like them a little bigger, the 23 inch HR-F version is up for grabs and available in dark smoke and shadow silver. And anyone can combine and put together any one of these and many other visual finishing options using the www.abt-sportsline.com/tuning/configurator/
