Sometimes an engine is more than just technology. Sometimes it also represents soul and character. Just like the Audi five-cylinder engine, to which we’ve paid tribute with the ABT RS3 630.
As the second of three exclusive special models in the anniversary trilogy celebrating our 130th anniversary, the RS3 630—limited to 30 units—embodies everything we’ve stood for for more than a century: uncompromising engineering, craftsmanship, and an unconditional passion for driving.

There is much more behind the RS3 630’s performance than just our ABT Engine Control “AEC.” The ABT POWER R performance upgrade boosts the turbocharged five-cylinder engine from 400 PS (294 kW) and 500 Nm to a breathtaking 630 PS (463 kW) and 700 Nm - made possible by a new turbocharger, a high-performance intercooler, and a comprehensive engine overhaul. At the heart of it all is the ABT IWI system.
This indirect water-ethanol injection takes effect even before the engine’s throttle valves. A specially developed electronic control unit precisely meters the mixture according to load conditions and engine speed.
The injected mixture cools the intake air from the inside out. The result: more combustion, more power, more performance – consistently and reliably; even under full load, the engine does not cut back. It pulls through. Relentlessly. Up to a top speed of 300 km/h – and in doing so, it delivers a sensation you have to feel to believe.
Carbon fibre and gold accents: every detail tells a story
The RS3 630’s aerodynamics package, crafted from high-quality carbon fibre in high-gloss black, gives this compact sports car an unmistakable presence. The front spoiler, featuring front blades and the “RS3 630” logo, sets the tone. At the rear, the rear apron insert, complete with a matching emblem badge, rounds off the look.
Two twin tailpipes in matt black, each 95 mm in diameter, send a clear message – deep, rich and full of character.
The 20-inch ABT HIGH PERFORMANCE HR20 forged alloy wheels in satin gold are more than just a design highlight: they echo the golden anniversary look of the entire trilogy and visually cement the RS3 630’s place as what it is – a piece of history.
And anyone who gets into the ABT RS3 630 immediately senses the 130-year history in every one of the high-quality details, such as the uniquely finished centre armrest: for the golden anniversary accents run throughout the entire vehicle.
Precision you can feel
630 HP demand a suspension that thinks for itself. The coil-over sports suspension, with individually adjustable compression and rebound damping – fine-tuned by our experienced ABT engineers – transfers every nuance of the engine directly to the road. Combined with sports anti-roll bars on the front and rear axles, it noticeably reduces body roll, sharpens steering precision and ensures a driving experience of the very highest standard.
MyABT App
Maximum performance with the myABT app
The ABT IWI system – and with it the full power output of 630 HP – is activated using the myABT app.
In addition to allowing you to access engine-related ‘standard parameters’, the app also provides important information specifically about the IWI system, such as the system status (standby, ready, activated, …) or the fill level of the IWI tank.
