While many a marriage in its sevenths year goes through a crisis, the Volkswagen T5 is still loved after many years. Even in its serial version, a VW Transporter feels like a passenger car. Really sporty it gets with the ABT springs, which lower the car’s CoG. After all, you have to make up for the height lost through the new springs. The strongest 2.0 TDI version of the T5 with 204 hp (150 kW) comes thanks to ABT power to 240 hp (176 kW) and 400 Nm.
It goes without saying that this does also improve the vehicle’s look. In conjunction with the mighty 19" or 20’’ ABT DR or GR wheels, the car is turned even more sporty. And the unique geometry of the double spokes and the wheel’s finish – an interplay of “glossy black” or "matt black" and diamond-relieved front – make for a harmonious relationship. And to make the driver behind you know that this is not an ordinary utility vehicle, we crown the T5 with a 4-pipe rear muffler system and a discreet rear spoiler.
