Your 1000 HP ABT
The ABT 1,000 HP Legacy Editions are technologically advanced vehicles. To ensure that you can make the most of the performance and all other features specified and enjoy your vehicle for a long time, please read and follow the recommendations of our engineers on this page regarding run-in, choice of fuel, service intervals, etc.
Run-in:
The engine of your vehicle has been equipped with a number of new performance parts, which have been precision-calibrated. To achieve the longest possible service life and maximum performance, your vehicle should be run in for a minimum of the first 3,000 km.
For this reason, high speeds and full-loads should be avoided during this period.
During this period, you should ideally minimise the stresses placed upon the engine (max. 80% accelerator pedal travel) and up to 5,000 rpm until the mileage of 3,000 km is reached.
Fuel:
Despite the intelligent switch-on and switch-off of the AEC and IWI system, it is important to use the correct fuel. It is fundamentally possible to run your car on ROZ98 fuel. However, performance with the IWI system is restricted.
To maximise usability whilst also ensuring the safety of your motor, we recommend that you fill the tank completely with ROZ102. This way, you will be able to unleash 1,000 HP via the myABT app or in MMI (Race mode) and enjoy the full performance of the vehicle.
Please ensure that you have refuelled fully with ROZ102 when in "Race" mode.

In principle, your vehicle already has an output of 820 hp at its disposal. In order to access the concentrated power of 1,000 hp, the IWI system (indirect water/ethanol injection) must first be activated. This is done by pressing the RS button once for 1 second during a drive cycle in one of the two RS modes. In the next step, the vehicle must be connected to the myABT app and the "Race" mode must be activated. The maximum performance of 1,000 hp can now be called up by pressing the accelerator pedal accordingly (if an error is displayed in the engine management system, you should not activate the IWI system).
Please note that the vehicle must be fueled with 102 octane fuel to activate the 1,000 hp - otherwise there is a risk of engine damage.
If full power is not required, the IWI system can also be deactivated again using the RS button.
The system and the engine are protected by a range of different sensors. In addition, the two additional ABT control units and the serial control unit communicate continuously with each other for optimum efficiency whilst providing the greatest possible engine protection. For example, to activate the 1,000 hp, the following conditions must be met:
